I need help with the verizion LG Ally?

So im getting the LG Ally for my birthday because my other phone is crap. And i need a little help. Im not sure how many MB it has and if that is enough for a regular teenage boy? Also how much that will cost per month. Do i need a wifi connection to get to the Android Marketplace and other things?
