Please help me in this poetry please please?

Sounds like this poem is about someone who is in love. They are somewhat skeptical about being hurt but at the same time they are willing to do so because the reward that love gives is far greater then hurt could ever be. Maybe this person actually took the chance at whatever it is he took, and was hurt.. I dk
